Summary
Hard Wake is an alarm and wake-up challenge app. These terms explain your responsibilities when using alarms, physical challenges, wake routine tasks, task check-ins, optional cloud backup, optional Companion features, Rescue Mode, accounts, promo codes, tutorials, and subscriptions.
This page improves clarity for users and store review, but it is not legal advice. Have these terms reviewed by a qualified lawyer before public launch.
Using Hard Wake
You are responsible for choosing alarms, wake-up missions, volume levels, permissions, and device settings that are appropriate for your body, schedule, and device.
Hard Wake supports user-scheduled alarms and wake-up challenges. It should not be your only plan for urgent, health-related, caregiving, travel, legal, safety-critical, or job-critical events.
Wake routine tasks and check-ins
Wake routine tasks are optional planning tools attached to alarms. You are responsible for choosing task names, check-in timing, retry intervals, and whether a task needs a reminder.
Task check-ins ask whether a task is complete. If task check-ins are pending, Hard Wake may keep the related alarm protected from edit, delete, or disable actions until the routine is complete. They are not a substitute for alarms, appointments, care plans, or safety-critical reminders.
Companion features
If Companion features are enabled, they are optional and invite-based. You choose whether to invite a companion and what selected missed-task alerts may be shared. A companion must accept before Companion alerts can be sent.
Companion is not continuous observation, location sharing, ongoing observation, urgent response, caregiving supervision, or a promise that another person will respond.
You are responsible for only inviting people who have agreed to receive these alerts and for disconnecting a companion when you no longer want them to receive selected alerts.
Rescue Mode
Rescue Mode, when enabled, is limited to pre-approved actions after a missed confirmation and inside the rescue window you configure. These actions may include requesting confirmation, ringing again, sending a louder message, or triggering a harder mission. You are responsible for choosing safe actions and reviewing them before relying on them.
Rescue Mode is not an urgent-response service and should not be used as your only plan for important, health-related, legal, caregiving, safety-critical, or job-critical events.
Cloud backup and restore
When cloud backup is used, Hard Wake may save alarm data, labels, repeat days, mission choices, wake routine tasks, settings, wake history, and protected wake-flow state for the signed-in account. You are responsible for using an account you control and for reviewing restored alarms before relying on them.
Cloud backup is a convenience feature and does not guarantee uninterrupted sync, permanent storage, or recovery from every device or account problem.
Alarm reliability limitations
Hard Wake is designed to make alarm dismissal more intentional, but it does not promise that you will wake up, stay awake, hear an alert, or receive an alert at an exact time.
Alarm delivery can be affected by operating-system limits, device manufacturer restrictions, user permissions, notification settings, Do Not Disturb, silent mode, volume settings, battery saver, app force-stop, updates, reboot behavior, network conditions, and hardware issues.
Use the in-app Reliability Check and backup alarms when timing matters.
Safety responsibilities
Use physical wake-up challenges only in safe surroundings. Do not jump, walk, or shake near stairs, roads, fragile items, sharp objects, hot surfaces, pets, children, or while driving.
Avoid physical missions if you are injured, dizzy, pregnant, health-restricted, impaired, unsure about your balance, or not confident that the area around you is safe. Use non-physical or lower-intensity options where available.
Hard Wake is not health advice, a health device, a fall-prevention tool, or an urgent-response alert system.
Accounts and account deletion
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for using an email address you can access.
If you delete your Hard Wake account, the app deletes the Firebase account and clears local Hard Wake alarms, settings, active alarm state, and cached premium status on that device. Store subscription records and some service-provider records may remain as described in the Privacy Policy and Account & Data Deletion page.
Subscriptions, trials, cancellations, and refunds
Premium access, free-trial eligibility, renewals, cancellations, and refunds are handled by Apple App Store or Google Play through in-app purchases and RevenueCat entitlement status.
Current prices, taxes, trial eligibility, promo-code redemption, renewal dates, and billing terms are shown by Apple or Google before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled through the store account where the purchase was made.
Deleting a Hard Wake account does not automatically cancel an Apple or Google subscription. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their store policies.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Hard Wake, interfere with its services, attempt unauthorized access, reverse engineer restricted parts of the service where prohibited by law, or use the app in a way that harms others or violates applicable law.
Do not submit support requests containing passwords, payment card numbers, health records, private alarm labels, or other sensitive information that is not needed for support.
Changes to Hard Wake and these terms
Hard Wake may change features, supported platforms, pricing, trial availability, subscription offerings, store availability, Companion availability, Rescue Mode availability, and these terms over time. The "Last updated" date shows when this page was last revised.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, Hard Wake is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation, exact timing, error-free performance, or fitness for a specific purpose. Your rights may vary by location, and some limitations may not apply where prohibited by law.
Use backup systems for important events and review these terms with a qualified lawyer before relying on them for public launch.
